Aztec WPSL side adds former WUSA player Rebekah Splaine

March 25, 2008 - The Boston Aztec WPSL team added more experience to this summer's roster, signing former Boston Breakers F Rebekah Splaine (Cambridge, MA - Brown University) for the 2008 season.

Splaine was the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a First Team Northeast Region selection in her senior year at Brown. She was part of W-League champions with the Boston Renegades in 2001 and 2002 and also played in the WPSL with the New England Mutiny. She signed as a developmental player with the Breakers in 2003 and was selected to participate in the 2004 WUSA Soccer Festivals.

The entire Aztec WPSL full roster and player pool for the 2008 season will be announced tomorrow, March 26th. A complete season schedule for the women, as well as the roster and schedule for the Aztec NPSL men will also be announced soon.

The Aztecs will play their first season at the state of the art Amesbury Sports Park this summer. The Boston Aztec men's and women's teams are the pinnacle of the New England Aztec organization, the premier soccer program north of Boston and affiliates of Everton FC of the Barclays Premier League in England.
