The Aztec College Preparatory (Prep) Program is designed to guide and assist senior players as they navigate through high school and into college. The goal of our program is to provide the academic and recruiting guidance, information and resources to better enable them to advance to the next step in their journey as a student-athlete. 

Through the work and guidance of our academic and recruiting advisors, all Aztec senior student athletes are able to take advantage of the following through the Aztec College Prep program.

SUPPORT: Every senior Aztec student-athlete is connected with one of our college preparatory advisors who provides personalized support and guidance on each player’s specific journey. They offer specific recommendations to help a student-athlete navigate the college search, admittance and recruiting processes.

SEMINARS: Three focused and timely seminars are held each year from November through February. Past topics include “Intro to College Soccer: How to Get Recruited.”, “All About the Admissions Process.”, and “Hear From Our College Coach Panel.”

RESOURCE CENTER: All senior Aztec student-athletes have access to an online resource center that includes a host of helpful information for student-athletes at each high school grade. Included in the resource center is a calendar of key dates for Admissions Deadlines, SATs, ID Soccer Camps, and much more.

COLLEGE DROP INS: During the winter months, our college preparatory advisors host drop-in hours whereby senior student-athletes and their families can “drop in” to discuss any issues or questions that they might have.

TEAM MEETINGS: Every Aztec senior team has a specialized meeting with the Aztec college preparatory advisor, who outlines guidelines and timelines and answers questions specific to each team and age group.

PLAYER ANALYSIS: For players looking to continue playing soccer at the college level, the Aztec coaching staff conducts a four-component player analysis that helps to identify prospective options for playing at the next level.

COACH OUTREACH: The Aztec coaching staff utilizes its contacts in the industry to assist student-athletes looking to play at specific colleges and universities.
